JCLA is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
You can also bring it into our office during our business hours. Even more convenient, you can also donate right now, using a credit card or your existing PayPal account, by clicking on the Donate button on the right. Also, consider designating Local Aid for a donation during an annual giving drive at your place of work, or including Local Aid in your estate planning.
Financial Donations and Capital Campaign:
We receive funding from community donations, foundation grants, and program-specific support and we appreciate financial donations for general operations. We are also raising capital funds to pay the remaining mortgage on our spacious facility at 210 E. 6th Street.
Food Items:
We are glad to receive donations of non-perishable foods. Bring them by our pantry during business hours.
Please remember we cannot accept opened packages, food past its sell-by date, and home-canned items.
Clothing & Household:
Gently used and clean donated clothing and bedding linens are made available to all of our clients. If you have these items available, donate during Pantry Hours.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept other household goods, furniture items, books, or appliances because of our limited storage space.
Non-Food Programs:
We offer energy & propane assistance, prescription and over-the counter medicine assistance, as well as bus passes for necessary appointments. We welcome financial contributions to support these programs.
